FYI – for you guys with older cars that may not want to go to a dealership.

The A/C failed overnight in my 2014 C7 a couple of weeks ago and the compressor had to be replaced. To access to the compressor the front cradle had to be lowered requiring a 4-wheel alignment after the job because the car pulled to the right. I did not want to go to a Chevy dealership for an alignment because of their distance.

Sir Thomas sent me to Tire Kingdom, but they could not get my car up on their alignment machine as it is too low. They also could not do a “custom” alignment for street use that I wanted. Tire Kingdom told me that their alignment machine only takes the make, year, and model of the car and the machine spits out the OEM specs with no available changes. I’m sure many of you know that Corvette OEM toe specs make your tires wear out prematurely.

Tire Kingdom called around for me and found that Mr. Front End, off Taylor Rd. in PG, can do lowered cars and custom alignment settings. I took my Vette there this morning and they took good care of me while I waited. They also crossed the front tires from one side to the other prior to the alignment. Total cost $175.

They are extremely busy there so appointments are a must.
